ANNOTATION
Public Agenda is a great service opinion research organization that has experience in designing major projects, focus groups, fielding surveys, and analyzing findings. Next, they communicate these findings to audiences which include journalists, students and teacher, policy makers, and citizens. The Public Agenda helps citizens understand complex problems and involves those who are normally excluded from policy debates. They create a common ground for exchanging thoughts and managing differences constructively. Some of the topics they have covered include abortion, child care, education, speech and privacy, the environment, and campaign reform. This organization also keeps a National Debt Clock (which currently stands at $9,000,000,000,000+) viewable online. Anyone who is interested in this type of information can view their research online (in PDF format) at the above named site or can complete the order form to receive paper copies for a small charge. They send out weekly emails to give the latest public opinions and public policy research and they compose a quarterly newsletter.

Public Agenda seems to be a great site. Although they claim to be unbiased, I believe that there is no such thing as unbiased. No matter how thoroughly you plan your polls it's inevitable that there is going to be some bias. Other than that, the site is well organized and has loads of information on each issue. Including charts, comparisons, facts and debates. You can also view the opinions and ideas of many other americans. I would probably use this site if I had a research project to do on one of the topics covered.

ANNOTATION:
Public Agenda is a great site for research studies and issue guides. It provides information between American leaders and what the public think about certain issues. The navigation of the site is well-planned. It gives you a variety of topics to research about. You can find issues by title, date, or topic. Some issues that you can select are child care, race, illegal drugs, abortion, and high education. The cool thing about the site is that it has a "support your work" link, where you can donate money to Public Agenda. The donation will help Public Agenda with your concerns about the most challenging issues that we as a community face across the nation.

I looked at a few of these sections and found them very interesting. I really enjoyed this site and plan on using it in the future.

Public Agenda is a site that provides unbiased research on a variety of issues. They have a two fold mission which is to help American leaders better understand the public's point of view and to inform citizens so they can make informed decisions on current events rather than let mainstream media bend the truth. Public Agenda shows that once American's have accurate information that they are capable of making thoughtful, intelligent choices. Public Agenda's research goes beneath superficial responses to figure out why Americans hold the views that they do. I clicked on the link for the Federal Budget and it is alarming to know that the government spends so much money that, ironically, is not even theirs. If we were unable to make payments on our debt, the effects would ripple around the globe and could be catastrophic to the world monetary system. Visiting this site was a breath of fresh air compared to CNN or other major networks.

Public Agenda includes a discussion about different things, but the one thing I chose to talk about from the web site is the topic race. Race issue have been going on in the United States for years, back before Revolutionary War. Race dates back when the pilgrims first reached the United States. In a lot of ways, race is still an issue for minorities in this country; its standers for African American, Hispanic, and Asians are set high. The website also talks about the life expectancy and the graduation rate and also the political participation that have all risen substantially throughout all races. The website also mentions that the poverty rate has hit an all time low for the African American. I find this to be a useful website.

Public Agenda is an unbiased website that gives you information on different debatable topics. Some of the subjects listed are Abortion, Medicare, Race, and Crime which I choose for my topic. The publication talked about crime in America and how it affects us here in the United States. Many Americans believe we have a high level of crime, but it has lowered over the years. That also includes juvenile crime. It also talks about how crowded the prisons are and how that effects funding. Another thing the publication talks about is the death penalty most Americans support it but it’s a touchy subject because someone can be executed that was found out years later was innocent. This publication defiantly opened my eyes to all sides of crime in the America.

At a glance this site seems to be very busy and intimidating. After navigating the site I found it very easy to use and informative. Prior to exploring publicagenda.org I found many sites that claimed to offer valuable research on studies but none really measured up to this one. I would highly recommend this web page to anyone thinking of getting great research idea’s.
